Each winter, Bennington College students step outside the classroom to take part in Field Work Term—a six-week immersion in the professional world designed to help them deepen their studies, gain real-world experience, and explore potential career paths and contribute valuable skills to companies and nonprofits.

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Tusti ’25, who is focusing on biology and film at Bennington College, stood among a sea of scientific posters and passionate young researchers at Brown University’s Engineering Research Center. She was there as one of approximately 200 undergraduates selected from across the country to present at Brown’s inaugural National Undergraduate Research Conference, a first-of-its-kind student-run event designed to spotlight undergraduate work in medicine, biomedical research, and public health. It was organized by the Ivy League+ Pre Health Society.

Lorena Fernandez Camba '25 studies Architecture and Drama at Bennington. She reflected upon her advanced work, favorite faculty member, and notable Field Work Term experiences.

Andrea Lara '26 studies Biology, Latin American Studies (Spanish), and Creative Writing at Bennington. Following her education and writing internship at Uptown Stories, Lara was offered a part-time position as development assistant for the arts organization.

Projects for Peace has announced its 2025 cohort of grantees. This year, 134 projects from 93 partner institutions were selected, with one project being chosen from Bennington College.

Annabelle Lisa '28 studies Drama and Communications at Bennington. During the winter, Lisa completed a Field Work Term experience at Vero Beach Theatre Guild in Vero Beach, FL.

Devan Spiro '27 studies interdisciplinary photojournalism through ethnographic research methodologies and curatorial practices. During the winter, Spiro completed a Field Work Term experience at SoHo Photo Gallery, one of New York City's oldest cooperative nonprofit art gallery spaces.

Jacqueline Walsh '26 studies Politics and Public Action at Bennington, with supplemental focus on Spanish and statistics. During the winter, Walsh completed a Field Work Term experience interning with the Sierra Club Rio Grande Chapter.
